Open Hours and Tree Availability for Remaining 2021 Season

We have decided that we will not open next weekend on Dec. 18 and 19th due to low stock. HOWEVER, we do have a decent amount of pre-cut balsam firs left at heights of 6 to 8 feet and we want to offer them for quick sale. We have placed a rack at the front of our property. Feel free to stop in any day between 9 am and 5 pm to pick out a tree. All remaining trees are $50 each and that includes the HST. We ask that you pay in cash with the correct change. There is a cash box for you to deposit payment or someone might greet you outside. I also have 2 beautiful wreaths left. Please reach out with a message if you are interested in a wreath and we will work out an arrangement for pick up. Thank you all so much for a great year! We are happy we have had trees through the majority of the selling season. We look forward to seeing you all next year and we will have plenty of trees in 2022!

Pop Up Opening Friday, Dec. 10, 2021!

Pop up opening today, Friday Dec. 10 from 12 pm to 4 pm! We heard there will be some unpleasant weather tomorrow so I will open up the farm for those that want to get out and get a great pre-cut Balsam fir tree and beat the weather. Today won't be our regular experience as we won't be starting the fire or serving our regular hot drinks. We are offering this opportunity to pick up a tree and browse our Cozy Shack gift store. We will still be open this Saturday and Sunday during our regular posted hours with all the experience you have come to known us for. We will be open as long as we still have pre-cut trees available and we will make an announcement when our tree stock gets low. Keep an eye on social media for updates as we cannot manage phone calls when we are fully operating. If you missed the other posts, the you-cut area is closed for the season.

We Still Have Plenty of Great Trees! But the Cut-Your-Own Fields are Closed For This Year.

It was bound to happen with so many people excited to cut their own tree down, that we will be closing our cut your own field as of Dec. 5th. However, we are still open and have an excellent selection of fresh balsam fir pre-cuts in the 6 to 8 foot range. We have several large ones in the 12 to 20 foot range as well! Make the trip to Potash Creek Farms and enjoy our special place with complimentary hot chocolate or hot apple cider, great farm products and gifts, as well a great selection of tree stands! 2021 Christmas Tree Season and COVID-19 Policies

The Christmas season is upon us! We are opening in just a few more weeks and we are excited to host you at our farm! We are looking forward to seeing many familiar faces as well as new ones! We will be operating a bit differently this year due to COVID-19, however we are making every effort for a safe and enjoyable experience for you to get a local fresh Christmas tree from Potash Creek Farms!

Our business hours for 2021 have been updated on all of our online and social media resources. Please view the “2021 Hours and Prices” tab for further details.

Here is an overview of how we plan to operate:

1.      Visitors will be greeted at our entrance where they will be given instructions on where to park or directed to the express lane pickup area if you ordered online.

2.      We will be limiting how many cars can enter the farm to match our parking capacity. If we reach our limit, we ask that you wait patiently until an available space opens. For safety reasons we ask that you avoid parking on the road.

3.      Our cut-your-own fields and pre-cut areas will be open as long as quantities last.

4.      Our indoor “Cozy Shack” warm up area and gift store will be open for payment and gift shopping. We will not be offering seating areas.

5.      We will still be offering our famous complimentary hot chocolate and mulled apple cider drinks! We will be serving these through a “take out” style window for you to enjoy outside or take on the ride home.

6.      Our outdoor campfire area will be operating as weather permits. We will have appropriately spaced seating for you to enjoy.

 We have saws available for you to borrow, or you can bring your own. No gas power saws allowed.

COVID-19 Policies

1.      Please practice and maintain a 2 meter physical distance in all indoor and outdoor settings. Wear a mask when this distance cannot be maintained.

2.      Masks are mandatory to enter the Cozy Shack and make your purchase payment or to gift shop.

3.      Please sanitize when arriving and departing. We will have a sanitizing station inside the Cozy Shack when entering for shopping and payment.

2021 Season

 We will be opening for the 2021 Christmas tree season on November 27th! We will be offering cut your own trees from out fields as well as pre-cut balsam firs ranging from 6 to 12 feet. We will be offering our complimentary hot cocoa and hot mulled apple cider, as well as shopping in our gift store. Please check back for updates on our hours and pricing pages. We Are Sold Out of Trees for the Season!

 We are sold out of trees! Thank you to all and Merry Christmas from Potash Creek Farms. Hope to see you next year! We can still offer wreaths and greenery, so if you are looking for these items, please message us online or call us and leave a message.

Another Very Busy Day At Potash Creek Farms!

 We had an incredibly busy day today! We have less than 20 pre-cut balsam firs left. We will be open at 10am tomorrow until they are gone. The Cozy Shack is still well stocked of all your favorite treats, including: baked goods and candy, local honey and maple syrup and sweet and salty popcorn! We also have our fresh hand made wreaths and quite a few greens left to really spruce up your Christmas home decor. Hope to see you tomorrow, but the trees won't last long!

It's Been a Very Busy 2020 Season!

We had an incredibly busy and successful first weekend! Thank you to all for coming to our farm and sharing your tradition with us! Visits to our farm were unprecedented and we unfortunately have had to make the decision to close our cut-your-own field. However, we have a great supply of fresh pre-cut balsam firs to last a while. Our farm will be operating in the most normal and safe way as possible and we look forward to your visit. Hot cocoa, apple cider, gifts, campfire and fresh air await you! Pre-ordering your tree and other gift items and treats, for fast and safe pickup is still an option. Alternatively, come on in and select your tree or browse our shop!

Shop Online! Pre-Order and Pickup

You can still come to the farm and cut your own tree and pick up some great items in our Cozy Shack store. However, we are now offering pre-order for pickup as an option! We want to offer this option if you don't feel safe, are immune compromised or just need to pick up a tree and go. Follow the link below to shop online. Our cut-your-own fields and pre-cut areas will be open as long as quantities last.

Our indoor “Cozy Shack” warm up area and gift store will be open with limited patron capacity. We will not be offering seating areas. The Cozy Shack will offer gift shopping and check out services.

We will still be offering our famous complimentary hot chocolate and mulled apple cider drinks! We will be serving these through a “take out” style window for you to enjoy outside or take on the ride home.

Our outdoor campfire area will be operating as weather permits. We will have appropriately spaced seating for you the enjoy.

We will be offering saws for your convenience. We encourage you to bring your own. Our saws will be sanitized between customer use.

We are in our final week of 🌲 sales and we unfortunately have to close down our cut-your-own fields but we will continue to offer pre-cut balsam fir while supplies last. We still have a good selection of 6 and 7 foot trees. Starting tomorrow Dec. 18th you can stop in for a quick pickup of your choice of tree for $40. We will open the Cozy Shack this Saturday only and then we will close for the season. Lots of great crafts, treats and tree stands still available. 2019 Christmas Season Preparations

We are busy preparing the farm for the 2019 Christmas season. Opening dates and hours are updated on our Hours and Pricing page. 2018 Opening Day

We open in just 3 days for the 2018 season on November 24th. Looking forward to seeing so many returning friends and families. We are still busy setting up for the best Christmas tree farm experience in the area! Lots of trees are ready and they are looking for their Christmas home.

Are you looking for a taller than average tree? We now offer extra tall Balsam Fir trees! We will still stock lots of them in the 6 - 8 foot range but now you can pre-order that hard to find tall one in the 9 - 13 foot range. Order now and pickup at the farm when we open for the season.

We have had an excellent year at the farm for Christmas trees and we are now closed for the remaining 2016 season. Thank you to all who made it out to the farm and we hope to see you all next year!

It's beautiful on the farm this morning with the freshly fallen snow. The apple cider and hot chocolate are ready to go! These beautiful fresh trees just arrived and are ready for the perfect family to take them home.

Come out to the farm and make it a special day! Only about a 20 minute drive from Peterborough and Lindsay.

Important Announcement from Potash Creek Farms – 2016 Season

We are having an excellent 2016 season so far! We have seen many new and returning customers and it is so great to see everyone having a wonderful time picking out their special tree.

The number of people coming to visit us has doubled just within the first two weeks! We are so grateful to be sharing in your family’s tradition however with so many people coming, we have had to make some important decisions. This weekend December 10 and 11^th, 2016 we will be closing one of our main fields for cut your own trees. We will keep our Scotch pine field open for those who are seeking one, but currently, only a few remain. As for our “wild” section we are limiting cut your own trees to those looking for trees greater than 10 feet. For this weekend, we will be bringing in more fresh pre-cut balsam and fraser firs to keep up with the demand for trees this year. These trees will be in the 7 – 9 foot range, sourced locally and cut fresh, with pricing at $6 per foot. We will be closing down the “cut your own” operations following this weekend. If we have any remaining pre-cut trees we will offer those on a first come, first serve basis.

Come and enjoy a walk in the wild spruce tree fields, stretch your legs and take in the great outdoors. The Cozy Shack is open as always and of course, we will be serving hot chocolate and mulled apple cider to enjoy while you warm up by the fire!

We would very much like to thank everyone who chooses Potash Creek Farms for their Christmas tree tradition. All the happy faces and such genuine compliments is what makes it so joyful to bring you the best experience. We will be working hard to keep it growing for the many years and future generations to come.
